The secret was that the narrator secretly intruded into his aunt’s bedroom and read the letters his aunt forbid him from reading. The secret to the secret was within those letters, they told of a lover his aunt had named John, who had been at war. The narrator never heard of this affair his aunt had, and never met this John, since he probably died at war.
The secret of the secret is that he knows her aunt’s secret although he shouldn’t
The secret which the protagonist broke is the fact that he is telling the readers the affair between his aunt Mary and a man. This is the secret of the secret.
The secret of the secret is that he had read his aunt’s letters. This also shows that reading is discovering a secret. So we, as readers, also discover something.
The secret of the story is what the narrator found out while reading his aunt’s letter, which was that she had had an affair with John, a soldier. The secret to the secret (which was discussed in class, and I agree) is that by reading or when reading a secret is revealed, we find out something. So the secret to the secret could be us readers reading the story “Secrets”, or the narrator reading the letters, finding out something, and then the aunt discovering he found out something.
The secret of the story is the affair the aunt of the protagonist had with a man. The secret of the secret is that the kid has broken into his aunt’s bureau-bookcase while she was away, and read many of the letters she kept from her lover.
The secret of The secret is The fact he is narrating what he red, his secret.
The literal secret is that the aunt had an affair with a soldier. The secret of the secret is that he knows this. By making this story part of literature, and being narrated, the secret is broken and we readers now know it.
The literal secret is that his aunt had an affair with a soldier that went to the war, and the secret of the secret is that the narrator found out about this by clandestinely reading his aunt’s letters. It is a secret because no one else knows that he read them. By doing this he is breaking his aunt’s secret, and that is transgressive. This also stands as a metaphor for reading as both spoiling a secret and reading are transgressive which cause distrust, broken relationships and disappointment.
In my opinion the secret would be, a secret relationship between his aunt and the deadmen.
The secret of the secret is that he was reading the cards, that show the metaphor of the story.
